Little Pink Boxes For You and Me

Welcome! I’m Lindsay.

I was in my early twenties when I discovered my love for baking. Fresh out of college in the kitchen of my new apartment, my first mission was perfecting the staple recipes passed down from the women in my family — triple chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and lemon bars. The passion quickly grew from there. It wasn’t long before I was catering birthdays, baby showers, industry mixers, and weddings for friends.

During the next seven years, other work took center stage. I managed a hair salon, I nannied. I recorded two albums, and eventually I became a full time photographer. But my baked goods came along with me everywhere, as did the little pink boxes.

Then in March of 2020 — after a tornado passed through Nashville, Covid took out all foreseeable photoshoots, my laptop broke, and even the plumbing stopped working — I decided to bake some cookies about it. As it would turn out, I wasn’t the only one who needed comfort. People all over my community asked if I would deliver, and within one week I’d baked over 800 cookies.

Seeds were planted + watered throughout many seasons of my life. At the most unexpected time, in the wildest way I can imagine, God finally said, “Go.” And I said, “Okay.” And Linden Bakeshop was born.
