The Linden, also known as the bee tree, has long been a pillar of community gathering. Often planted in the center of villages, it symbolizes love, fertility, marriage, peace, truth, and justice. In Germanic folklore, it’s associated with the motherly goddess Freya. Due to its magnetic fragrance, it’s the tree of Aphrodite. Laima, the Baltic goddess of fate, also dwelled in its dark branches. And in the Christian tradition, the tree has strong ties to Mother Mary & Mary Magdalene through the Black Madonna, an icon who carries boundless compassion and miraculous healing.

Linden Bakeshop honors its nature.
