Aunt Dana’s Quiche Recipe

My mom made this quiche while I was in Indiana over the holidays and whoa I had to bring the recipe back with me.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • 1 cup mayo or miracle whip

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 2-4 tablespoons chives

  • 2 cups shredded swiss cheese

  • 1-2 cups cubed ham

Instructions

  1. Beat 2 large eggs with 2 tablespoons flour. Yes, that’s correct — 2 eggs total in the entire quiche.

  2. Add 1/2 cup mayo or miracle whip — I went Duke’s mayo because duh.

  3. Stir until creamy, then add 1/2 cup milk or half + half — lol to choosing your own adventure here, for the record I went mostly whole milk with a bit of heavy whipping cream.

  4. Mix in 2-4 tablespoons of chives and shredded cheese — can use 1 cup swiss + 1 cup cheddar, this was my preferred route.

  5. Stir 1-2 cups cubed ham — I went diced instead of cubed because I like the texture better and also because they’re cuter.

  6. Put in pie crust (this recipe uses store bought, as did I) and bake at 350° for 30-45 minutes until light brown and puffed up in the middle.

Mom’s note said, “Variations to suit your taste!” which I absolutely love and support.

In the case that you, too, need to hear the crackle:
